Digital Media Literacy

During our opening conversation yesterday we said that digital media literacy was the ability to access, analyze, critically evaluate, and produce communication in a variety of digital forms.
What place does publishing have in developing this literacy?

Thanks

Jamie and I just wanted to say thanks to all that attended the Digital Video for Educators camp last week.

Smartphones


Smartphones are cell phones, video cameras, computers and portable music players all mashed into one and are quickly becomes extremely popular. In the past we have seen the effect that that these tools have had on our students lives.

What will happen when they have it all in the palm of their hand? Will we spend our days confiscating this technology or is there a way that we can use it as a tool in our classrooms?
